About Scitech
Scitech is a not-for-profit organisation proudly supported by the Western Australian Government through the Department of Jobs, Tourism, Science and Innovation
Founded in 1997, National Science Week is Australia’s biggest celebration of science and technology. Come August, it features thousands of events across Australia, from universities to research organisations, schools, museums, libraries and science centres. It’s science, supersized – over a million Aussies take part in science events across the nation.
In Western Australia, we see hundreds of registered activities each year, covering all corners of the state. Events include STEM fairs, astronomy nights, talks, science shows and much more. All registered events can be found on the National Science Week website.
Get curious with hands-on activities, explosive chemistry shows, native animals and much more. From Albany in the Great Southern region to Broome in the Kimberley, National Science Week will inspire the next generation of instigators and innovators.
- National Science Week is delivered by Inspiring Australia– an Australian Government Initiative to help build engagement and participation in STEM.
- Small grants are available through the Inspiring WA, to assist community groups and organisations who wish to host an event.
It’s science on a grand scale, an event simply not to be missed.
