The latest season of Particle’s Elements podcast is out now, this time focusing on the element of fire.
Elements uses a narrative journalism approach with each season focusing on one of the four classical elements, water, fire, earth and air, and exploring how they shape the world around us.
Over five episodes, season two looks at the way fire affects the people and land of Western Australia through a scientific lens. Listen to stories from all corners of Western Australia, covering everything from festival bonfires to devastating wildfires, from echoes of ancient knowledge to the technological possibilities of the future.
Elements launched last year focussing on water, demystifying complex issues such as drought, desalination, recycling water and coastal erosion.
The podcast is created by Particle, Scitech’s independent media hub that connects young adults to science stories from Western Australia and beyond, featuring science news, articles and podcasts.
