As current jobs evolve and future work demands change, the reliance on digital technology and 21st century skills will continue to increase. In a progressively digital world, it’s now more important than ever that we equip students with the skills to participate in the future workforce and everyday life.

Under the umbrella of the Alcoa Digital Technologies Enrichment Program, Scitech, in partnership with Alcoa, are delivering two professional development components for primary school teachers that will enhance students’ capability to learn, understand and be responsible with digital technology and systems.

Alcoa Real World Digital Technologies is a one-term professional learning program that aims to increase teacher confidence and engagement with exploring the integration of digital technologies into daily teaching.

In 2025 this program will be offered exclusively in the Kwinana and Wagerup regions. If your school is located in either of these regions, please email the Learning Futures team to find out more.

Alcoa Champions of Digital Technologies is a year-long professional learning program designed to increase teachers’ digital literacy and ability to meaningfully integrate digital learning across all subject areas. This program supports teachers to deliver curriculum-aligned learning specific to their school and classroom contexts.

In 2025 this program will be offered exclusively in the Jarrahdale-Serpentine region. If your school is located in this region, please email the Learning Futures team to find out more.
