Celebrate National Recycling Week at Scitech!
Recycling significantly reduces the amount of materials sent to landfill, helping to create a more sustainable future. We will be celebrating this important week with a hands-on activation called ‘Sustainable Suburbs’, along with a video on the big screen all about recycling, in our Rio Tinto Innovation Central gallery. Plus, we’ll be handing out some Containers for Change merch.
Sustainable Suburbs Activity
What sort of buildings and amenities would make the suburb you live in more sustainable? Imagine having skate parks, bike tracks, solar-powered buildings, and recycling centres – all within walking distance. Use the recycled cardboard and building templates to create your own structures. You can then add them to the map and help create a communal Sustainable Suburb.
The Sustainable Suburbs activity will be available on Saturday 16 & Sunday 17 November, and is included in the cost of your Scitech admission.
