Our dedicated partners enable us to do more, reach more, engage more and inspire more, every day. These partnerships continue to help us bring the very best in STEM, interactive learning and positive futures to all Western Australians.
With your support, we’re re-inventing STEM engagement and reshaping the delivery of our vision in the digital age.
Our partnerships play an important role in helping to transform lives, empower communities, diversify our economy and develop our future workforce.
We invite you to share in our successes on this journey.
Supported by Rio Tinto.
Scitech’s partnership with Rio Tinto enables us to take our unique STEM engagement out of the Science Centre at City West and on the road (and sometimes the airways) to visit every regional and remote community across the state.
Our Statewide team deliver a variety of experiences that range from primary school science shows and workshops to early learning programs, secondary school career festivals, shopping centre visits, community shows and DIY science kits.
This activity positively contributes to the engagement of over 500,000 West Australians in STEM every year.
We are proud of the impact our work has on WA children in shaping their futures. We’ve captured this in a short video story as seen through the eyes of our Statewide presenters.
These interactive, hands-on workshops have been developed with a cultural awareness of the people and landscapes of our regional and remote Aboriginal communities. Programs include student workshops, professional learning workshops, and DIY Science Kits for primary and secondary students, with a strong focus on literacy and numeracy.
DIY Science Kits are fully self-contained classroom resources – providing teachers with all the equipment and information to run engaging and relevant lessons.
Supported by Chevron.

Supported by Woodside Energy.
STEM Club is an intensive multi-week after school program for students in years 4-6. Participants dive deep into STEM concepts through imaginative hands-on projects such as designing and building a rubber band car, coding and constructing an animatronic figure, and building and modifying a gravity defying glider.
Hosted in WA by Scitech, Inspiring WA is a part of a nationwide initiative called Inspiring Australia.
Inspiring Australia is a government program aimed at engaging all Australians with science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM). Through the delivery of National Science Week, the distribution of state-wide grant funding, and the support provided to regional networks the program aims to support STEM events and initiatives in every corner of Western Australia.
